Our vests/plate carriers are compatible with SAPI/ESAPI plates, following the industry standard for maximum comfort and function. Make sure that your plate size corresponds to the size of your vest for an effective and compatible fit – an essential step to building the perfect rig.

Your perfect fit is a combination of the size of the plate and the cummerbund. For that, you will need to measure your chest and waist and can then get an ideal combination.

The LPC™ is designed to work with all SAPI/ESAPI type, or Shooters cut plates. However, we recommend using STA (Stand Alone) type plates for an ideal balance. You can install ICW plates in tandem with NIJ 0101.06 Type IIIa soft armor inserts.
The ideal plate thickness is between 0.7” (18mm) and 1.1” (28mm).
Make sure the size of the plate matches the size of the vest.
You may, if necessary, place smaller plates in larger vests, but this is not recommended both because of the decreased protection area and the fact that the plate will move during usage.

The EVV™ Exchangeable Vest Ventilation is a module designed to increase comfort for the operator by ventilating the body. It can be added or removed without diminishing the defensive capabilities of the plate carrier and only adding comfort to the operator.
While the visual design of both models is fairly similar, the LPC uses more durable materials on the outermost layer, thus preventing distortions and stretching of the loops on the PALS interface. This option also reduces the price of the LPC™, although it doesn’t have the same color texture as the Strandhögg™.

Due to the presence of Cordura® 1000D and 500D on the outside of the vest, the outer layer of the UPC™ is roughly 300% stronger than most plate carriers on the market.
