It is completely possible to use the MCVF™ as an overt vest, and it will even provide you with some extra space for utility via the Velcro® panels. But, you must note that the vest is not designed for rough conditions and will experience more wear and tear from overt use.

The MCVF™ is completely safe to wash. The only thing you should remember is to remove the soft armor before washing, as most cleaning agents will damage the ballistic properties. This can be done quickly and easily with the zippers, and you can reinstall the panels once you are done.

By using a specialized Velcro®-attaching pouch, you can install the HEP™ and insert both NIJ Level III+ and NIJ Level IV+ hard armor plates.

I’m very grateful this vest exists. I would like more if my job bought it for me so not to pay on my own, but that is a different mater.
Not to brag, but the spouse is quite talented in the forefront and this made issues when we go hunting. The slight bend on the female model helped that immensely and we are both thankful for the option.
Also, when hunting, taking it in beige will allow you to break the lines with patches, FWI.
I’m comparing this model to the UCV that I ordered from this website as well and this one is way more comfortable. By using an inward-focusing sports bra and a tight base layer mass can be spread completely evenly. Even if you jump to the ground chest-first there is no discomfort.
